Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter born in Mexico was born to an adored family of musicians. Growing up, she listened to a lot of classical music and traditional boleros. Also, she listened to the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana is a fan of tangos. Also, she loves operas, and every form of drama. Ana began learning and singing music with her mother, and commenced more serious vocal training at the age of 16 with renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Later, she attended an institution called the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. Her early professional career saw her perform with many orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs in Guadalajara. Following her move into America in the year 2000, she joined the United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present home in southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Alongside being a local performer and instructor the passion for arts and music keeps her engaged in a wide range of projects. Ana has been a member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as well as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able to bring to others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will help younger generations preserve the traditions.
